Calculations stay in your browser
Every KeepWage calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter (salary, hours, state, filing status, etc.) are not sent to our servers and are not stored by us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are popular and how the site performs. It is configured with IP anonymization and only loads after you accept analytics in our consent banner (we use Google Consent Mode v2). It records things like the pages you view, approximate region, referrer, and device type — never the values you type into a calculator. Google’s use of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Advertising
We may display ads via Google AdSense. AdSense and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to measure and (where permitted) personalize ads. In regions that require consent (e.g. EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA/CPRA), ads stay non-personalized until you consent via our banner. You can manage Google’s ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
Country detection (geolocation)
To offer you the right local version of KeepWage (e.g. a German or French page), we make a one-time request to a third-party geolocation service, GeoJS (geojs.io), which reads your IP address to determine your country. We only store the resulting two-letter country code in your browser’s local storage to avoid repeat lookups — we do not store your IP. The result is shown as a suggestion banner only; we never automatically redirect you. See the GeoJS site for its handling of requests.
Cookies & local storage
We use local storage to remember your consent choice, dismissed banners, and your detected country code. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only with your consent where required. You can clear or block these via your browser settings at any time.
Hosting
KeepWage is a static site served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host/CDN, Cloudflare may process limited technical data (such as IP address and request metadata) in server logs to deliver and secure the site, under its own privacy terms.
Third parties & embeds
Our calculators can be embedded on other websites via our iframe widget; those sites have their own privacy policies. We also link to external sources (e.g. IRS, state revenue departments) which we do not control.
Your rights & choices
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent. You can change your cookie/consent choices at any time via the banner or your browser, and opt out of analytics/ads as described above. See also our Terms of Service.
